Our Board has been established to oversee the activities of the Gala of Hope Foundation and control the distribution of funds.
Phil is a retired pharmacist of 38 years, 30 of those being at the Medicine Shoppe in Beavercreek. He is the founder and co-owner of Home Care by Black Stone and currently serves on the Cedarville School of Pharmacy Advisory Board, International Needs Board and One Bistro Board. Phil is also very involved with Medical Mission Trips. He and his wife of 41 years, Pam, have two grown sons and five grandchildren. Phil enjoys gardening, The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds and being a grandpa.
Pastor Gil Dukeman
Gil serves as the lead pastor of Grace Crossing Church in Beavercreek, a faith community dedicated to making church a spiritually safe place for everyone. Gil is a community-minded pastor and a passionate communicator focused on applying the principles of the Bible to everyday life. Gil has done mission work in seven nations of the world. He and his wife of 30 years, Keli, have three adult children and three grandchildren. Gil enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing tennis, the great outdoors, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Frank retired from Kettering Health Network in 2011, but as CEO Emeritus, he continues to represent the network as a community ambassador. He came to the US in 1962 as a teenage refugee fleeing Communist Cuba and settled in Maryland with his mother and three sisters. There he completed high school via correspondence school, and went on to college and graduate school, ultimately receiving a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from The George Washington University. Frank and his wife, Carmen, live in Kettering and are the parents of three beautiful daughters and four brilliant grandchildren! Frank has a passion for fishing, travel, and the occasional game of golf.
Co-Founder of the Gala of Hope Foundation, Barbara’s public service career spans nearly 25 years and includes senior-level staff positions in both State and Federal government. As a Congressional Chief of Staff and U.S. Senate State Director, Barbara played key roles in decision making, policy initiatives, and as a liaison to constituents. A tireless activist in the community, she has carried her public service career to the private sector as an owner, founder, and leader of CBD Advisors.
Co-Founder of the Gala of Hope Foundation, Bob is the chairman of Synergy Building Systems and the Mills Development Companies in Beavercreek. Having started Synergy over 30 years ago, Bob has made a career out of developing and building office buildings for the educational, defense, medical, and professional office sectors. This internal drive along with very personal life experiences with cancer are why he and his wife created the Gala of Hope Foundation and continue to so passionately combat this ugly disease.
